My days are usually pretty boring to the naked eye. School, bus, homework, sleep and then repeat. Doesn't seem like there is much time to hang out with friends because we get so much more homework than before and the bus doesn't get me home until 4:30. So... today I had an extra special day.
We had the day off. Days off mean being with friends. Being with friends means my day isn't going to be boring. I had about 8 people over. So, with 9 people total...what do you do? Well for starters, first you take my phone and hide it for about 30 minutes and make me do a scavenger hunt until you finally give up and let me have it.
Next, you bake cookies. We had a lot of cookie dough...so what do you do with 9 people...you make cookies! You don't actually do anything, you just congregate into the kitchen and watch one person put cookies onto a platter and then walk away.
Then, you go into the basement. This part was probably the only time people weren't screaming or yelling. You talk about hot guys when you actually have guys around. Then you talk about classes and old schools and all the embarrassing things you did when you were little. That was the only part of the day when things were calm.
But...when you bring down the freshly baked cookies that aren't cooled, you get some chaos. People start to play with the cookies and then you have a bunch of stuff on the ground. Soda was drinken and later during the day...you wish they didn't drink soda, the calmness has worn off.
We finally turn on a movie. People are sitting down and lying down, but that doesn't keep us from talking. The most random subjects are brought up. What is good hair, who watched what show, what you eat when you have breakfast...nothing seemed to be calm anymore.
At the end of the movie, when some people have left and you're only left with about 7 people, things change. People are tired after the movie, but the type of tired which results in a sugar rush. 4 of the people over were guys...now it may just be those guys, but it was like a tackle boot camp or something. People were poked like there was no tomorrow, we were throwing things at eachother, tackling eachother, flips over couches, nothing was normal. A few more people leave and you are left with 3.
With 3 people, everything is calm. That was the second part of the day when things were ok. You have one guy that is amazing at guitar and another who is good at singing and piano and you have your own special concert. Add in some lost shoes, a dog that is tiny but rough and you have my day.
My day doesn't usually go like this when I have people over, but it definitely is something I look forward to. Some new friends, some old friends, all is good. Can't wait for the next day off!

Homecoming!

Since Homecoming is coming up for both of our schools, I've decided to write a little blog entry about it. I've discovered that homecoming and can be one of two things; a dream come true or a nightmare.
I've seen mostly the nighmare part of homecoming. For two groups, or at least people in two of them, homecoming has been nothing but one disaster after another. One of my friends doesn't seem to find the right group to go with. She moved from one group to another, but everything still seems horrible. The people don't seem to understand and she's now regretting going. In another group there is just one person that likes to shake things up in the worst way possible. Who knew that going to a dance with friends or a date could be soo stressful or just plain annoying?

I've been lucky. My group is doing well for a first homecoming. We have reservations, an activity and rides because we can't drive, pooey! This has been a dream come true, for me, but for other people and can be considered horrible. Good thing it's only frosh homecoming!
Who knew homecoming could be sooo horrible for some people, and still have some fairy-tale endings for others!

<----- That's my seat for every Sox game I go to. Seat 8, first few rows up! Gotta love it!
Its the perfect seat! Every annoying usher comes by, every loud hot dog guy comes by, and even the people that let you stand on the dug-out and cheer for a type of pizza come by!
I'm picky about what sports I like to watch. I really only watch two types of sports; collage football and Pro baseball, preferably the Sox.
If you've ever gone to a game with me, you would know that I say I don't like peanuts, but I end up eating your whole bag. I don't like hot dogs, so instead I only eat ice-cream or curly fries. Those are my baseball traditions. What are yours? Do you even like baseball, or just the cute outfits you can wear?
Baseball is something I can watch all day...just so you know.

Ishtar...She's not that innocent
As Britney Spears once sang "I'm not that innocent." The song is a classic tale of the misconception of who this little girl is. Is she just a school girl or a heart breaker she claims to be. Ishtar is another perfect example of this misconception. Ishtar can be perceived as an innocent girl trying to have a tradtional wedding or some sort. She did all the traditional rituals that take place when a wedding is in full effect. On the other hand, Ishtar takes on a stronger/braver role when she decents into the underworld. In another story, she is portrayed as a girl that "gets around." In that story she gets her revenge on Gilgamesh. Some people might think that all these stories are just myths or improbable to people now, but those people probably don't know who Britney Spears is.
Britney Spears "...Miss american dream since I was 17" is known to adults as a physco, known to children as a physco, and known to people in our generation as our idols when we were little. Britney Spears entered my mind when I was in kindergarten and in 1st grade. Back then, she was known as an innocent girl who was on the Mickey Mouse Club and just another pop singer. Through the ages, she started to walk down a different path. She started to descend downward with her spontaneous marriages and pregnancies. She got her revenge by shaving her head and attacking many other people and many cars or possesions. She could still be perceived as innocent to the generation who got to know her and love her, but she can be perceived as a physco to children and adults.
There are many differnt sides to Britney, just like there are many different sides to Ishtar. Having different sides or different fan bases can change how you're percieved. Ishtar...MAYBE she's not that innocent.

Other random things about.....
.....ME!
For starters, I'm pretty random in general.
I like to say "hi" to almost everyone.
I love cake!! (hint hint)
I love candy!!! (wink wink)
I love rollerblading with my bffsk (best friends forever since kindergarten)
My friends mean the world to me, even though it seems like one of them fell off the face of the earth.
My favorite movie, that I love, is BABY MAMA!!! OMG the funniest movie ever!!
I love to write songs! I write them about my life, and guys, and everything bothering me, so if you want to know what I'm feeling or thinking, read my latest song. I also don't care if you want to read them, ask me! I also have little sayings I made up in my AIM profile about what I'm feeling then, so look there too!
I think that lemmings are suicidal animals....you have to be in my bio class to get it.
I bake when I'm bored.
I Love the band LUDO! If you just listen to love me dead, you might think they're wierd, but listen to their other songs....they're amazing! and amazing live!!
I play tennis. It's actually really fun, even though you might think its only for old people or preppies, it's really really fun!
Ok that's all I can think of......OH my favorite color is not pink, but I love having things that would/could never be pink....so my tennis racket is pink and my phone is pink, and other things are pink. Ok, now that's it!

What I'd like you to know.
I used to think that I loved to write books and short stories, but now I know that I ADORE and LOVE to write songs. That's something I would like you to know. They are a form of poetry that doesn't exactly have to rhyme and can have a tune to it. I don't exactly like writing poetry, but if you tell me to write a song, I will write three of four instead of just one. Here is my latest song! I am very proud of this one, and I think it's my best one so far.......
Just one last wish, that won't come true
I'll be dreaming of it, all night through.
and when I know
that my chance is gone
I'll be crying all night long.
People seem to see me sad
People think that i'm going mad
its only cuz i know you're great
it's that girl i've learned to hate
that won your heart
ever since the beginning.
I don't know what to do
I'm done loving you!
Walking up and down the road
holding hands with that girl you know.
i can never get in the way
of what was there before i had a chance to say
my thoughts that were on my mind
i can't get you off my mind
People seem to see me sad
People think that i'm going mad
its only cuz i know you're great
it's that girl i've learned to hate
that won your heart
ever since the beginning.
I don't know what to do
I'm done loving you!
I'm done with all the rises and falls
done with how you don't know my name at all
done with how you think you knew
that i could never be the one for you
done with everything that keeps me up
all night thinking of how to wear my make up
i don't have to impress you anymore
the thought of you was thrown out the door!
People seem to see me sad
People think that i'm going mad
its only cuz i know you're great
it's that girl i've learned to hate
that won your heart
ever since the beginning.
I don't know what to do
I'm done loving you!
I hope you're done with everything too!
But i can't get my mind off of you.......

First Day Poem
First Day
Beep! Beep!
My alarm sounds.
Waking up at six isn’t what I planned!
Silence in the morning.
I’m the only one walking around.
Taking the bus is the only familiar thing.
Then, after that, it’s all new to me!
Walking around the halls
with a backpack on.
There are older kids, not younger kids that I can’t pick on.
Eating at a different time
is something I have to get used to.
IPods are allowed, that is something new!
Ding! goes the bell.
One more class down.
Why don’t I ever see my friends?
Tennis is the next big thing.
After school every day.
The ball goes “pop”,
and WHAM over the net!
Long night of homework
and before I know it, I hear the BEEP! Again.
Beep! Beep!
